Introducing The Retraction Watch Database in System Pro

Caz Gottlieb

10.8.2023

With the scientific corpus growing at staggering speeds, it’s no secret that the number of retractions is also increasing. Unfortunately, this further compounds the amount of information that you have to keep a pulse on to ensure your research and clinical decisions are informed by the most reliable science.

Luckily for all of us, Retraction Watch has led the charge since 2010 to provide a timely and single source of truth for retractions (both the status and the reasoning). Today we’re excited to announce that the Retraction Watch Database is integrated into System Pro.

What does this look like? Every time you search for literature, we will surface the latest retraction statuses, indicated by a red “Retracted” tag next to a study’s title. This makes it easy for you to scan a list of studies and understand the integrity of the literature. In addition, retracted studies will now be excluded from Synthesis and Maps.
